The Eaton Area Historical Society was established in 1991 by the Eaton Pioneers Society. It has as its mission the preservation and sharing of the history of the region and its pioneers, and to provide a secure locale that contains historically accurate items, which are preserved for the future. This Auction is spearheading the efforts to fund the new Carriage House to be built behind the existing A.J. Eaton House Museum. The Carriage House will display local military, school, and agriculture collections. In addition to the much-needed expanded exhibit space, the Carriage House will provide important weather-safe storage areas. The plans include many possibilities for the venue to be used as a special gathering place for community and surrounding area activities and social events.
